RISE Effective Educator Bonus
This pilot bonus incentive supports growth for DCPS teachers at RISE schools, providing a $5,000 bonus for teachers who are moving along their LIFT stages and continuing their professional growth at our highest need schools. Like LIFT, this program is about recognizing teachers as professionals and investing in educators in our schools. DCPS teachers can receive a $5,000 bonus if you meet the following four criteria:
Taught at a RISE school in School Year 2021-22; AND
Was Advanced, Distinguished or Expert on the DCPS LIFT career ladder in School Year 2021-22; AND
Earned an Effective IMPACT rating in School Year 2021-22; AND
Returned to a RISE school in School Year 2022-23 by August 30, 2022 in a WTU or CSO role.
RISE Effective AP and Principal Bonus
This pilot bonus incentive supports growth for DCPS assistant principals and principals at RISE schools. We know that leadership matters. The RISE Effective Assistant Principal and Principal Bonus Program is all about supporting our rising school leaders who are working to support students in our RISE schools. DCPS assistant principals and principals can receive a $5,000 bonus if you meet the following three criteria:
RISE Signing Bonus - Updated for SY23-24
At DC Public Schools, we believe that talent is a key lever for equity. Aligned with this belief, we are excited to offer $2,500 signing bonuses for teachers joining our highest need schools in specific high-need content areas for the upcoming 2023-24 school year!
Signing bonuses of $2,500 will be awarded to new-to-DCPS teachers or DCPS teachers who transfer from a non-RISE school to a RISE school who commit to teaching Special Education, English as a Second Language (ESL) or Math for SY23-24 and are hired by June 1, 2023.
